Sorry, boys but the tigers are getting better at the right time. :scared

the tigers do have weakness and the big guy from bradley can make a little noise next week. however, if the boys of bradley couldn't cover "mr. overrated" krauser off the dribble - get ready for darius (who hasn't even played well yet).

the point being this - to all the haters and doubters......... :mj04:

i'm not satisfied at all - anything less than the finals is a bust for the most talented team Memphis has had in a decade.

regardless, all you seth davis (bitches) hope you lost your a$$ in the 1st 2 rounds. ****nell was slow and the officials kept them within 30.

it is early and if the tigers collapse against bradley the season is a waste, but i do not expect anything less than the final 4.

for all the Memphis supporters... :mj06: :box2: :toast: weed: :bigun: :drinky: :spotting: we are still dancing.

it seems like every year someone is complaining about a # 1 seed. '04 it was st joes, '05 it was washington, this year it is memphis. you are right about memphis peaking right now, i really like watching this team. i'd love to see a rematch of the early season memphis-duke game from the garden. bucknell snuck up on everyone last year, this year was a different story. i hope memphis can make it to the final 4, they're an enjoyable team to watch.

thanks hoops. don't intend to have a chip on the shoulder, but i can't help it. the constant downgrading of our team is pitiful. any team can lose at any time, anywhere. this Memphis team is very good and suffers from cinncy and 'ville leaving the conf. i hate conf usa.

anyway. thanks

same song, different verse

same song, different verse

again, the doubters..... i am beginning to think the haters haven't actually seen Memphis play.

the only thing keeping the games close are the calls. the tigers are playing tenacious "d" and their is no one more talented than Memphis - unless it is Uconn.

Uconn is a deep and balanced team in the tourney and I would give anything to play them. the only team that worries me in the bracket is lsu because they have that man-child at center and they are very athletic. hopefully they can be pressed into turnovers...

anyway, c ya on saturday. :box2:

while memphis is good.....in the words of the wolf "lets not start sucking each others diks just yet"

they have played a 16-9-13

i think they destroy gonzaga....but a ucla matchup is fairly even

there will be no dik sucking by me ever :nono: i'm not flexible enough

however, this is the rub or the area of frustration for me. if Memphis loses - they are obviously overrated and not very good. if we win - we didn't play anyone. this is pure bull $hit. kansas, pitt, etc - everyone that was suppossed to beat us lost. tough $hit. speaking of sucking dik - seth davis has picked against in every round. i am tired of the bias and double standards. either we are good and the comp is good or we aren't that good and our opponents are crap. every game is the same storyline : Memphis will lose because.......

forgive me for the chip on the shoulder, but i am over it. there is no one more critical of Memphis than me - ask WarEagle - i have criticized memphis on several occassions. this is the most talented team we have had in 20yrs. and they are very good.

good? yes, i think memphis is....but you cant really say "i told you so" when you've beaten a 16-9-13 so far

hell arizona would be in the same spot you are having played those teams

every team does benefit from matchups and the teams they draw - there is no arguement to that. however, memphis earned a #1 seed and their schedule should not be as hard as arizona's.... i expect arizona to always be better than memphis, but this year is different for a change. however, to say arizona would have beaten the comp we played is not a "just" statement because they didn't play them. it is a bogus statement because it can't be proved or disproven.

either way, i just hope we keep winning(obviously) and if we do that then the respect will come. the only dissapointment will be if we lose - all the experts will take credit for gettiing it right (finally)

the more i looked at them, i thought that memphis didnt get enough respect this year

however, you have had a great draw thus far and have played the worst possible seeds you could have played in each round (16-9-13) and played no major conf competition.....which isnt to take anything away from your team, just an observation

oral roberts
bucknell
bradley

i'll take me chances with arizona vs those three teams

the point isnt arizona,......it's that memphis has not "proved the doubters wrong" by beating a 16-9-13..... who were all inferior athletically to memphis......memphis has played well and has a great chance to win it all, but to say that what they've proven all the doubter wrong thus far is incorrect

33-3............33-3..............33-3..............

They were supposed to be the first #1 seed to lose in the first round............

They were supposed to lose in the second round to Arkansas in Dallas..............

There have been a lot of doubters so far and they have been proven wrong about Memphis..............so far..............Watch Espn and listen all the guys on there.............they were saying before the tourney that Texas should have been the 4th #1 instead of Memphis............

By the way for Arizona to beat all 3 they would have had to win 3 games in a row..........did they win 3 games in a row all season????

well, we should definitely be tested by ucla - great comeback. however, i do believe batista point shaved. ucla will severely test memphis athletically. they played terrible early and never gave up tonight. they are to be respected and recognized. they never gave up and that is what the tourney is all about - even though i truly feel zaga deserved the win and batista did more to hurt his team in the final 2 min of a game more than any other player i have ever seen.

He got a rebound with like a 1:20 left up by 5 and put it back up when he should have kicked it back out.........time is more important than a score in that position and he should have know that..........

Just thinking.........if Gonzaga had the possession arrow, then all Batista would have had to do was hold on to the ball and even if they tie him up its still Gonzo ball..........

all he really needed to do was pass the f'n ball to the f'n pt. guard - i am sarcastic saying he shaved pts, but his continuos poor decisions leaves room for questions......
