This was the game they should not have won. They played awful. They got that game out of the way. I will be putting a good chunk on UCLA + the points against Memphis. They match up well with Memphis. I think they win this one in another tight game. This seems to be a team that wins the close one. Love the depth also.
UCLA 50 units whatever the number against memphis

not so sure they will be getting points against memphis. looks like a pick or maybe memphis -1. bracket looks wide open and you could make an argument for any team left (except GM and Wichita) to win it all

You better hope they match-up better than they did earlier this year when the Tigers handled the Bruins rather easily..........

Different team altogether,,,, lots of injuries - not saying they win, but it won't be easy for Memphis

Mata and Aboya played a whopping 18 minutes tonight and combined for a whopping 1 rebound and 6 points.................

Memphis is probably hoping these guys get more minutes with numbers like that...........

So. Cal
hey, they arent that good but they matchup much better vs memphis than fay who doesnt even play anymore

more improtant....ucla is not the same team they were 2 months ago

memphis looks to be as good as they were in nov-dec
just like gonzaga looked better in nov-dec

none of this is to say that ucla wins or memphis wins.....just pointing out that ucla has improved substantially

Well if UCLA is playing so much better now then earlier in the season they sure are not showing it ...............squeaking out a last second win over Alabama and a miracle win over Gonzo sure doesnt show me much........especially in California.........

Should be a great game............

But if both win you will be telling us Saturday night that Memphis is a different team than the one that lost by DD at home to Texas wont you?

I would agree UCLA is a much different team now then at the beginning of the year. They are at the top of there game right now. They survived today as most teams that win a national championship do.
What I would like to know is why in the hell is Memphis the play. They beat UCLA by 8 on their homecourt. Ucla a much better team now. Memphis a little better also.

Memphis has played oral roberts, bucknell, and bradley. I think this is by far the easiest road anyone has had. They played both teams that had upset somebody. They have played nobody in the tourney and I strongly believe they will pucker up in there first close ballgame.

No...............Memphis lost to Texas because they shot 20-70 from the field and that wont happen again........to even shoot the ball 70 times is unreal...........so Memphis had their chances
and they outrebounded the Horns by 10.... 44-34.........

When you are 33-3......Memphis has been playing pretty consistent all season......

Now Texas on the other hand has been up and down all season......you just have to sit back and see which team will show up the one that lost by 20 some to Oklahoma State a team without theuir coach or the one that lost by 30 something to Duke................

Good point. Len Elmore said it best, "The Bruins came out and looked like a deer in the headlights." But he also said, "You can tell that UCLA is a better team that this..."

Read what gjn has said here tonight. He has watched enough Pac Ten basketball to tell you. The Bruins are not the same team as they were last November. Neither is Memphis. They look a better team, but I wouldn't back them against this streaking Pac Ten team.
