On talent alone, this game should be no contest, but in the first two games, it seemed like none of the UConn players gave a damn one way or the other, except for Williams. If they have found some desire over the last several days, they shouldn't have any problem, but if they try to sleepwalk through this game, they are in for tight one.

got uconn big on ML to some yest winners ...

i do think ILL shoulda beaten UW but got conservative with their 11 pt lead .. uconn is a conundrum of uneven efforts, but zeroing in on the Final 4 i dont think the UW can stand up for 40 mins with their bigs ...

slow down ROY with his strength inside, (uconn has led nation in blox what 9 straight years?--something like that) and his perimeter is his lesser talent, also Jamal Williams uses dantley-like game at 6'4 and this will be impeded ....

I think UCONN comes to play today. The media hyping up Washington was the worst thing that could happen to UW. Uconn will bring their A game tonight.

On a side note, I think if Washington was in a different region they could make it to the final four. They play some serious defense.

I guess the competition will have to end with Duke 1-0 in a blowout.

Heyward - You really can't talk right now! Duke is out... Better luck next year.

Of course I can. Notre Dame was never in and you've been talking shit the whole time. If a Texas fan is silly enough to talk junk about Duke after the pasting Duke put on Texas in their earlier game, somebody has got to call them out on it. Duke was overrated all year (any team based almost completely on one jump shooter is in bad shape because that one guy is going to have a bad night from time to time), but between Duke and Texas, I just can't understand the amnesia that would allow a Longhorns fan to forget that game. Amazing. Good luck tonight.

LOL - ND doesn't care about basketball. My whole point about Duke is that they receive the benefit of the doubt from ESPN and the refs. The refs called a fair game and LSU whooped that ass. Bye bye..

I'm not sure ESPN has any control over the outcome of games, although Dickie V does wet his pants every night over Duke & Carolina (whoever is playing that night). I agree that Duke (like Carolina, and Kentucky, and other elite programs) does receive the benefit of the doubt on close calls, I have said that all along. An ass-whooping? I guess we watched different games. Duke has had trouble with big athletic teams all year (FSU, Georgetown), so I'm not too surprised at the loss. When you rely on a single jump shooter to get 30 points every game in order to win, it's going to catch up with you sooner or later.

Agree to disagree... I'm done with Duke talk this year...

I hate to say it, but I think we actually agree on a lot of the Duke stuff. Being an alumnus and fan, I guess I just don't understand the hatred for Duke, except for the consistent winning and Vitale-type media love. I was in a bar last night watching the game and Carolina fans were going bezerk cheering for LSU. I know there are Duke fans who would do the same thing if Carolina was playing, but I never really understood it (except when Duke had Wojo AND Chris Collins on the team at the same time - even I found myself strangely wanting to pull against them [what's the plural of "spaz"?]). I'm happy to be done with Duke talk also, but these Texas fans (which makes no sense after the earlier game) just won't let it go. Good luck with UConn, I'm on Nova tonight.

So if UT goes on to the Final Four & maybe even winning the Nat'l Championship this year, you are still going to claim Duke the better team casue they beat them back in December......

Is that the kind of backward ass logic they teach you @ Duke?? :scared

All that $$$ for an education & this is what that school throws out.
