I swear I've never seen so many people get so greedy in my life!!!

Stay at home Dad just settled for $8.00! He had an offer of $79,000.00 with 4 numbers left and he picks $300K. His kids are saying, "Take the money Dad!". Wife says, "No deal!" Bye-bye Fiji!

I've got to where I'm cheering for the big money to come up when they start getting greedy!

A couple of times there's been bids over $200K and they turn it down. They end up leaving with $10.00!

Get me on that show baby! Offer me 200K and I'm out of there.

Well, gonna go watch another idiot!

I just realized, NBC just gave out $58.00 tonight! I'm not a rocket scientist but I bet they collected a bit more than that for ads.

Show will be on every night with these dumb-asses saying, "No deal" all the time.

NO there is supposed to be some math and gambling logic to it but it goes right over these peoples heads. How do you qualify for this show?

I think as long as you have a pulse, you're a candidate.

it amazes me how stupid these contestants are.

take the remaining boxes left and divide them into whatever your highest possible monetary amount left is. this assigns an estimate of what each box is worth to you. if the banker offers you a higher number than that, then take the deal because its +ev.

for example if you have 5 boxes left and 500,000 is your highest possible box, if he offers you more than 100,000 you take the deal every time. if you don't you lose value.

Agent, every time I see that ridiculous avatar of yours, I feel the need to go fishing!

My wife rather enjoyed it FWIW.

its a lil more than that. You have to total the 5 remaining boxes and find the average.

example: you have 100k, 200k 300k 400k and 500k boxes left... 105k is a lousy deal.

Well in your example you have a total of 1.5 million, divided by 5 is 300,000 so of course 105,000 is a bad deal.

marine, i forgot to factor in the common sense aspect.

yes, if that is the case then it is a bad deal. my example is if the board is fairly evenly split among crap money and good money.

agree with you.. the common sense factor.. but after watching tonite's show, it is quite obvious that things like that need to be stated.
