I have Windows 2000 and just got an ipod and was going to transfer all my songs to my ipod but it says I need to updated my windows..........

Whats my alternative here, is it worth buying Windows XP and using it or can this even be done??

I think down the road I am going to have to deal with this same problem since it seem everything has windows xp...............it is time to upgrade ???

The upgrade is probably worth it. Number one iTunes is great. Number two, Windows XP is relatively cheap for the home version. Number three, you are right that everyone is moving towards it.

If I buy windows xp............is it pretty simple to install it and will nopt screw up everthing I have on this computer???


or should I just get a new computer..........it seems and XP runs anywhere from 90 -200 and I could get a new Dell under $500........with xp.......

you may try running "windows update" on your old system, windows update should be located in your program folder. If ;you get xp it should not screw up your old settings, when you install it, it will ask if you want to upgrade, just do that. good luck
