Twice in the NCAA Tournament this year I was burned when the line made a swing to the opposite team. I had Wisconsin as a favorite over Arizona in one matchup with the line moving and making the Wildcats the fav by tipoff. I also lost the Syracuse game when the Aggies became the favs after the early line favored the Orange.
In the NIT tonight the Wolverines were a point and a half favorite early and are now getting a point against ODU. Is it because of the public's perception of a down Big 10 year after their great showing in the tourney, or maybe the "strength"
of the Colonial now with George Mason setting the tone? Whatever, I'm not buying into the hype. I'll take the athletic bunch from Michigan (although I think the coaching's bad) :s1:
Did you know it's been 60 years since a team has won back to back NIT Championships?! Dave Odum is 19-3 in the tournament, winning with Wake in 2000 and finishing second with the Cocks in the 2002 title game. Look for him to bring one more victory to my side tonight against Patino's boys. I've already had a preminition about Taquan Dean and Palacios knocking off the Gamecocks but....
Mich +1
SC -2
GL tonight guys :mj06:
