Having trouble with my cd rom. When I put in a cd, music or program, nothing happens. I have 2 hard drives, c and d, a 3.5 inch drive which is a, but I can't find my cd rom; it's like it has disappeared. I think it still works, but maybe I've told the computer it's not there or something?? Anybody have a clue what might help?? Thanks.

I knew you'd be of great help, schlong boy! Whoever said that your avatar looked like a guy trying to pinch off the end of a loaf was right, lol!! Kind of like a gold fish that has a big turd hanging out that just won't quite pinch off.

it is not.

What's an "ide" cable?

See the picture below

It is simple to look at, sometimes if the case has been moved even a bit, the cable might have come loose.

THere should also be a power cable that looks like this:

If your still afraid, as a computer guy, give him a beer or 20 bucks and he will probably fix it or maybe perhaps it has simply went bad and needs replaced.
