Hello everybody I cannot believe it is already baseball season. It seems like just yesterday we were ranting and raving about about the dropped third strike in the Angels/Chisox series!

On to a topic I have seen in the past here at jacks... what system do you use for baseball?

Myself. I use the pitcher vs. hitter and days off method. Also, there is the dreaded travel day of an extra inning, etc.

Lets get some good theories to help everyone out. Goos Luck this season, Go Dodgers!

Play dogs, stay away from big chalk if you play every day . you don't have to be very good if you play dogs or pass. Last year I posted a 74-73 / + 122.00 units at 1 point . That included 2 and 3 team parlays. Did not manage the cash well down the stretch but still posted a 92-125 / + 10.00 units. 30 plays under 500 and still made money. Stay away from big name pitchers and big chalk and you will win money. Baseball is the best big picture game, take shots and don't worry about the record, risk a little to get payed big.

Nobody is ever DUE to win or lose...........The streak is your friend! Always bet on the streak, not against it. YOu can only lose once betting with it, you can lose your ass betting against it!Play the Devil Rays against the Yanks.

The one thing I've learned is that there is no right or wrong way to play baseball. People can win playing 90 percent faves, 90 percent dogs, or 90 percent totals. It's just a matter of picking the right spots. I realize that sounds idiotic, but it's true. Just know your info... capping baseball is far more numbers-based than any other sport (at least to me). And know your umpires.

2 I will always play are. Texas day games over no matter what the total and Cub day games under. I dont have stats or % for these bets but I do know they have been very profitable over the years.

add another that I don't track but has won money. Play against the atlanta braves anytime they face a rookie pitcher for the first time. Don't have % but I know it has cashed quite a few times in the past.

Unders at wrigley might hit a little less with the new bleachers. It will block more of the wind blowing in off the lake.

They wont affect the wind blowing out

Home Favorite on 3 game Losing Streak.

If a team is on a 3 or more game losing streak
& is a home favorite bet on the home favorite.

also during interleague play. play on the home team in the final game of the series if they have either lost both games or split the series in the first 2 games. this was hitting nearly 80% at one time.

Keep in mind I have been gone for nearly 2 years of baseball due to Iraq so these numbers may be scewed somewhat but I think if you track them they will net + money in the long haul.

toast I will stay play unders at wrigley during day games. of course gail force winds would incline me to change that when they are blowing straight out. other ballparks made changes this year also. I think dodger stadium did some modifications to try an increase run production. I do know that twilight starts in L.A. usually go under due to shadows in the first few innings.

Always bet on the rockies as a home dog.

and for some who like taking risk SMART Risk IMO. bet against the yankees the first 50 games of the season. they will be overvalued and will be laying ungodly numbers. many may feel this is a stupid bet but the yanks are bettors darlings and everyone seems to take them. I'll take the puppies in the first 50 and lets see what shakes out. I did it in the first 10 a few years back and made some nice coin. example in 2003 the yankees started the season 20-5. down nearly 1300 but the next 25 games they go a robust 9-16 with a nice profit gain of nearly 2000+ so we win in the end. my numbers are not complete accurate since I do not have them directly in front of me but we would have made a very nice gain playing against them the first 50 games.

Patience is a virtue in baseball.

Dont be afraid to bet a heavy dog. Also many will argue to stay away from a heavy fav's also. I will disagree with this theory. I could care less what the number is as long as I pick the winner. No matter what the juice. Not saying bet a heay fav everyday, that would be suicide IMO but favs win games also. You have to pick your spots. But the great thing about baseball is that there is value everywhere everyday.

In a doubleheader play the second game only if the home team has lost the first game, the home team rarely gets sweep in a doubleheader.

This play has always work great for me

good luck

Im working on a angle. Playing all dogs +110 to +180 for the first 2 weeks of the season. From the numbers I've looked at so far its hitting around 46%. It looks pretty solid for a 5 to 6 unit gain.

Ive looked at the last three seasons so far. Gonna crunch some more this weekend. I'll start a thread in here and keep track of it there. Should be interesting.

6/12 used to work. Under 6 Over 12. Astrodome is an under Park.
If there are any left, play against a team that has faced a knuckler the day before that went at least 7.
Someone said play streaks until they drop, no matter what the price. Play streak mgrs. Seattle comes to mind.
There are thousands of plays and totals. A profit can be made without betting them all. USA is the only handicapping guide needed. LOVE IT.
That's me!

Astrodome? LOL, you mean minute maid. Astros havent played there in like 4 years. You could also argue its a hitters park.
