I have HBO in my room and am wonderin why the hell anyone would subscribe to this network. Yeah I know the Soprano's. I don't watch. Big love sucks. The movies they show are nearly 10 years old it seems. I am wondering what they actually have going for them. This network has went to shiite Imo. Maybe I am expecting more from a pay network.
Can someone tell me how HBO stays in business?

have to agree and cancelled HBO years ago. Occasionally they will have a heavyweight fight on and I get it for a few weeks.
The movies are rerun and old and I just could not find any value in the offerings.
I think some big company owns HBO and they dont really have to worry about revenues from the movie channel.

well if you could explain to me what better shows are on Hbo I would like to know because since I have been back in the US they haven't had nothing but crap on there.
I watch the 1st 4 an carnivale faithfully,Unless they step up big love it will be just 4 Deadwood & sopranos are about the best on tv & real time brings up some serious points, Otherwise ,Yeah its all the same ole,Except for the 1st sat of month they'll give you a new movie,Carnivale was weird dont know if it has a 3rd season (Deadwood in 7/8 weeks)How about some competion an lower these fargin rates :shrug:

sopranos,curb your en,bill maer,real sports,boxing and a few more.you would have to put hbo in a catergory with showtime,cmax etc..i would think,and they blow those channels away.i could care less about movies on hbo ,its all about their original programming for me.
Sopranos and entourage are the best shows on television. If you don't watch either of these, then HBO is wasted money and you are missing some great television.

Yeah, I agree about the Sopranos not being what it used to be. Seasons 2-4 were the best.
Bill Maher is a jerk-off, but I do watch his show sometimes when I want a good laugh. I find the extreme left and their ideologies to be rather amusing.

I assume I'm in the minority, but I've gotten into Big Love as well. I find it interesting despite the shots of Bill Paxson's rear every now and then.
The movies are repeated alot. The On=Demand feature is nice, but it's the series that I subscribe for, not A Cinderalla Story 100 times during March.

ok i watched a dvd version of enourage not bad. soprano's i could care less for. everything else on hbo seems lame to me. to me the price doesn't justify the subcribtion for the programming offered. i will save my $$$ and by the dvd collection of entourage. maybe invest it in skinemax lol.
Sounds like alot of HBO fans haven't given Deadwood much of a watch. Highly recommend it if you can grab the DVDs.
