Just like last Sunday, there are more than a handfull of teams taking the field today in the third game of the series trying to avoid the sweep :mj08: Last weekend Pittsburgh was winless in this situation and won their first game to foil the sweep. Today they are in position to make the Dodgers the recipient of the broom. And the Tigers who started out strong are now the home team trying to avert the boos as they host the rival Sox in their attempt to not become victims of the sweep. Washington and Florida, two cellar dwellers in the NL East play host as they try their best at not falling prey to the brunt of the early season Leno jokes. And then there's the Royals, who embarrassed my Sox and the Brewers who started out 5-0 before feeling the sting of the Cardinal bats. And don't forget the A's, who I expect to take out their woes on the Twins today.
I usually have the misfortune of jumping on a hot team at the wrong time. But, then again I rarely come out on top when I play the percentages  Maybe I should just pass on all these games :mj07: Never gonna happen.....
