pittsburgh pirates (+125)
even if this one ends up as a 7-2 loss, ill back perez as a 125 dog (or any dog price for that matter) against suppan every chance i get. its become more apparent by the day that the cards, not the yankees, have the biggest public following in baseball. it doesn't matter who is pitching for them or what the price is, it always seems like guys expect the cards to go 162-0 in the regular season. perez hasn't been himself this year so far, but he is still averaging damn near a strikeout an inning against the cards in his career. strip the names of the front of the jerseys and this is a pick game. i'll take my chances with a guy capable of striking out 10+ every time he takes the mound, even if he's been a little erratic this year because suppan hasn't exactly been lights out either.
