How far do u live from a Caliente?

Ill tell ya i made it a point to my wife(Mexican) that i will not travel or vacation anywhere in Mexico, unless i am very close to a Caliente. :142smilie

I have a few offshore accounts and usally get much better lines than at Caliente, plus i dont have to give up that 1.5% tax on all winnings, But there is just something about sitting in a Caliente Sportsbook and taking it all in.

I mean it is great to hear a "fool" yelling and screaming with veins coming out of his head, willing the 5 horse, come on 5 come 5 , get up there 5 , yea thats how its done yea 5.

All on a $2 show ticket. :142smilie

Its like having a small madjacks forum in there as well, everyone has a "hot" one for the day and are not afraid to tell ya about it. And my favorite is the guys that come in a "donate" a $10 10 teamer.

They always talk about the "one" that cost them 15,000. Not as if they didnt have the money to hedge out or anything.

As far as im concerned that 10 dollar tiket might as well be a lottery ticket, but dont tell them that.

Love the place, here in TJ they have one know as last chance, sort of an outside covered patio. GREAT characters in this one, something about fresh air that brings the very best out of the loonies. :142smilie

Ohh one more thing, not sure if your a big drinker or not, BUT

this is how i get to drink pretty much for free the entire time.

Ill take 10 bucks and throw it one the live betting in baseball, usally the line is -400 with two outs in the bottom of the inning, and ill take no runs to be scored with no one on , and collect my $2.47 for a cold one each inning. Of course if there has already been 1 run then ill jump on the only 1 run scored etc etc. For the most part ill take 12 or so and maybe lose one thruout the day but for the most part i get a few free beers for my hard work. :SIB

or another one that i like to jump on if i want a free meal is late in the game taking the 0-1 HRs, if there hasnt been any in the game, usally aroung the 7th or so the line is -250 , so i drop my 25 to get 10 food and beer, great combo. Very cautious with this one though , i keep track of the lineups , if hometeam is up so no extra half inning, and if the bullpens are good and not tired. for the most part i win alot more of these than i lose.

You are absolutely right about everything, I live in Puebla Mexico, that is one hour and a half from the DF, Here in Puebla we have 2 Calientes and I live like 6 minutes away from it.

There is a lot of guys that play a 10 dollar 10 teamer, and as you said it is like plying a lottery ticket, in fact I was wit a guy yesterday that play a 10 team teaser for 87 bucks that would pay him 125,000 dollars, in the ticket did not show that amount because it just show like 25,000 , He played all the favorites in run line, he is crazy, that is giving your money away.

For all you have told me, all the calientes seem to be almost the same. Same people thinking they know baseball yelling at the manager to bring out the starting pitcher because he had a rough second inning, some of them are just crazy and do not anything about the game.

About the lines you are absolutely right, they sometimes suck but it is easier for us and more comfortable than to open and offshore account that you are required to use your credit card, make a money order or whatever, I think it is more dangerous that way and you are prone to loose large amounts of money, the other way you have to go there bring the cash , make a deposit and then you can play via INTERNET, but you are seeing the money you are spending, otherwise you just look at your boucher and get crazy about it.......

That does not work here in Puebla, you have to pay for everithing you have, even if you have laid a large amount of money on any team. I think this is because you are too close from the usa.
