Been a few post on insurance and other matters so thought I'd bring my fav ploy involving all areas of advisors.
Try this next time before you put your funds in a strangers hands.

Regardless of which field it is if you do business your going to have to give your SNN # at some point in time to advisor in which ever field it is.

Bring this matter to advisors attention and tell him you would like his before doing business with him--as you want to run credit check on him to make sure your not getting advice from someone with inferior financial stabilty than yourself.

Yeah DTB, I also love watching 20+ handicap golfers give each other lessons....I have always compared that to getting financial advice from a homeless person.

Blue Cross here in Michigan will now issue a 9 digit number to anyone that refuses to give out there SS#. SS# are used to track clients benefits and there identity in most cases.
