that strategy cost the mets 5 runs. they got burnt twice the same way. you would have thought willie would have learned after the first time. not too smart. i hate loosing a game because of a manager's lack of management.
i just read in sporting news that some scouts believe that coming off 3 surgeries on his right leg, bonds has lost strength in his lower body....
they believe that if a pitcher pounds bonds inside, he won't be able to rotate his hips quickly enough to turn on pitches.....

he just balst one opposite field and the pitch was on the outside part of the plate were people are saying he can't hit it. but he barely made it around the bases, he was in pain it looked like rounding third was beginning to wonder if he would make it home.
this guy can still hit i dont care what all the sports writers say, if he was healthy he would still be the most dangerous hitter in baseball. of course i am sure if he goes on a tear most will start **** suckn him again sayn he is not done yet and just a week ago they all were saying he should be on the d.l. and retire. barry is barry no matter what people think he is an awesome hitter period. i still think he breaks aaron this year. gonna be tough but if he somehow heals some more and gets his timing back he will do it. of course they need to pitch to him also, which i think most will not do just to keep him from getting the record.
No way he challenges Hank this year IMO, he is not gonna hit 40 + more, at least I dont think so, only time will tell
