92-84-5 overall
4-6 playoffs
88-78-5 regular season

2-4 last night
Spreads: 49-46-2
O/Us: 40-29-3
MLs: 1-6
1st half: 1-1
Team tot: 1-3

Trying to get back on track today -

my number one play is on the Pacers - after looking at the box score from the first game I like them more and more and more - and I think they are going to win this one tonight too. They might even sweep the series.... Like I said in my last post, the Pacers are a superior team - in field goal percentage, defense, rebounding and their bench. The only thing the Nets do better than the Pacers is taking care of the ball, which was evident in the first game when the Pacers had 19 turnovers resulting in 21 Nets points, vs. the Nets who had 5 turnovers resulting in only 4 Pacers points. I think the Pacers will handle the ball better tonight as surely Carlisle will emphasize that (being the great coach he is). The Nets did shoot horribly from beyond the 3 point arch, so I look for them to improve in that statistic, but can they make up the difference in the points they got off of turnovers in the first game? The Nets also set a new record for the lowest turnovers in a game in playoff history, so I look for them to have more turnovers this game, which will hopefully result in more points for the Pacers.

I said yesterday I wasn't going to play the ML in this game, but after thinking about it even more, I really liked it....

also forgot to add earlier that Vince Carter is banged up and is probable, but he said he is very sore, so his production is questionable

PACERS +7.5 loss
PACERS ML loss

Dynamite James

Dynamite James

Lebron could be the best ever. Time will tell, but he is certainly better than Jordan at his age. The Wizards are saying that they are going to torment the King in this game and try to shut him down. Good luck - he makes everything look easy, which is the sign of a great player. And if they do manage to shut him down (which is doubtful) he has a much better team around him to pick up the slack. In the last game, Illgauskas took only 7 shots in the game, and I have seen plenty of games this year where Illgauskas scored over 20 and he was well under his average of 15.6 points/game. Larry Hughes was also 1-9 from the field and this will improve tonight. Gooden also had a fairly bad first game, going 3-9 from the field. Their offense will be big tonight with all the attention paid to King James. But perhaps the best thing about Lebron is that he makes everyone around him better and knows how to distribute the ball.

The Cavs set the pace in the last game. They outrebounded the Wizards by 16, they took 16 more shot attempts, they had 10 more points in the paint. The Wizards did struggle, especially their big 3, but when Caron Butler is one of your big 3, then you are going to have problems when facing a good defensive team like the Cavs. The biggest problem with the Wizards is they have no one to score on their bench except Antonio Daniels. He was 6-6 from the field in the last game and I doubt he'll have a perfect game again. Defense wins games and covers spreads, especially in the playoffs. The Wizards lost one of their best defensive players last year to the Cavs - Hughes. The Cavs should be able to dominate the Wizards inside again tonight, with Gooden, Illgauskas and Verajao covering the glass.

The Cavs have better field goal percentage, better rebounding, better defense and a better bench.

The Cavs are a hungry team with possibly the best player in the league leading them.

CAVS -4.5 loss

How was Amsterdam?

Amsterdam was great - where else in the world can you order o.g. NYC Diesel off the menu and then sit down and puff a huge spliff while throwing back a few cold ones, too? Or if you prefer, you can buy fresh mushrooms and take a real trip... but I stuck to the greens :weed: It is a vibrant city, too, with all the canals and bridges and crazy people. It's a one of a kind place that I will definetely visit again.

But Europe in general is more "free" than America when it come to :weed: - even in Spain people were just walking around on the streets puffing. Now that's freedom. :weed:

for the good stuff it was about $ 17.50/gram or 14 euros, so for locals it was cheaper (relatively) because our money is worth less over there... but homegrown is always the best - i think - sounds like you have a good friend... :weed:

yeah the bookies should definetely send me some free help, especially after my most horrible night this year last night :rant2:

but just a quick thank you to the pacers for not letting us know stojakovic wasn't playing, and a shout out to the nuggets (from the night before) for not playing k-mart and creating team strife, and most especially for me a huge pat on the back to barry (i could not decide what to do all day on the kings game, but i had a feeling about the kings so i put them on the ML) for making a ridiculous shot to ruin a bet that would have brought me up for the night, at least..... :142smilie

OK enough :mj16: for one playoff season - the NBA is driving me crazy... so i'm not going to post or bet for a few nights and if i somehow find a magic formula, then i'll be back - but otherwise, keep up the good work - some of you are really killing it in the playoffs and

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
