Rookie John Koronka (3-1, 3.75 ERA) will look to help Texas bounce back in the series opener. Koronka has won his last three starts, including Sunday's 8-3 win over Tampa Bay in which he allowed three earned runs and five hits in a career-high eight innings.

Cleveland will counter with Jason Johnson (2-1, 2.81). Johnson took his first loss Sunday, giving up season-highs of four runs and nine hits in six innings of a 5-1 defeat to the Kansas City Royals.

He is 3-4 with a 6.11 ERA in 11 career appearances, including nine starts, against the Rangers.

Halladay (2-1, 3.60 ERA) is 5-1 with a 1.80 ERA in his last six outings against New York. During that span, he's shown impeccable control against the patient Yankees with only three walks in 45 innings while limiting them to a .189 batting average.

Jaret Wright (0-1, 7.20) makes his first start since April 15 for New York. Wright hasn't pitched since because the Yankees haven't needed a fifth starter.
Wright lasted just three innings, giving up four runs and eight hits, and did not receive a decision in a 6-5 loss at Minnesota in that outing on April 15, his only start of the season.

The veteran right-hander is 1-4 with a 9.49 ERA in eight career starts against the Blue Jays.

The White Sox are looking to sweep their first regular season series at Angel Stadium since Aug. 5-7, 1994, and will look to Garcia (3-1, 6.23 ERA) to get them started.

The right-hander won his third straight start on Sunday, limiting Minnesota to two runs and seven hits over 6 2-3 innings in a 9-2 win. With the victory, Garcia tied former White Sox pitcher Wilson Alvarez for the most wins by a Venezuelan-born pitcher with 102.

Garcia is 11-3 with a 2.66 ERA in 21 career regular-season starts against the Angels (12-10). Garcia gave up just two runs and six hits in his Game 4 win last season at Los Angeles.

Weaver picked up his first win with the Angels when he allowed four runs and six hits over six innings Saturday in a 5-4 win over Oakland. He spent the first six seasons of his career in the American League with Detroit and the New York Yankees, and is 5-5 with a 3.52 ERA in 14 career starts against Chicago.
