Former major league pitcher Steve Howe killed in truck accident

Steve Howe, the relief pitcher whose promising career was derailed by cocaine and alcohol abuse, died Friday when his pickup truck rolled over in Coachella, Calif. He was 48.

He really was a talented pitcher.It was amazing that when he came back from his multiple relapses,he would always still have the ability to have outstanding control and pitch command.I am a die hard Yankee fan,so I would always be pulling for him on a professional and personal basis.Very sad news about his untimely death.

mmmmmmm would be a shame if he tested positive for drugs. i hope not but sometimes the habit never leaves anyone even after it has destroyed their lives.

Man I thught he was older than that. He was a major druggie in '80's. Seems like he should be like 60 to me. Good Pitcher, too bad. rip.
