When a slew of players from your team get drafted in the NFL but you under acheive in your college season??

For example.. Florida State .. the freakin waterboy was drafted in the 3rd round.. NFL scouts have taken every guy on this team.. but they underacheived in the season.. Is it Bad coaching??
Uncoachable players?? what??

Same with Ohio State.. (not so much now)

Thinking the same thing. Which also got me thinking about the opposite side. What does it mean when a team is very successful but doesn't get anyone drafted?

The opposite? Good coaching? Very coachable players?

Just continuing your original thought.

the reason why fla. st. wasn't as good as people thought had to do with the offensive line..making for a very shaky qb & an offense that couldn't do much....

imo, ohio st. was the best team in the country..

Same is starting to apply to hoops. UConn had 8 NBA players on their roster and lost to GMU whom had zero. I think a huge part of it is players who buy into your system, and work together for it to thrive. Sometimes the less talented player is the hungrier player.

Agree with AR, most of these Fla State guys are defensive players and that was not their problem this season.

Let me continue this,
Great point on good teams with no players drafted..
Being a VT fan you never see guys go like a FSU or Miami team but they compete with them well
Wisconsin is another
Cal, WVU, Auburn
With the way the draft is going you would think FSU, the Ohio state University, Miami, and USC were the only teams in college football

some teams get the blue chippers...ie..usc, fla.st, ie......those are where the nfl looks

but as blackman pointed out there are teams that have excellent coaching & great systems that players buy into...like murray st.in baskets..i think toledo in the mac in footbal falls into this category....

vt, i think fits a little into both categories.....they don't get as many blue chippers (but they do get some) as the big teams, but the players definitely buy into beamer's system....

good discussion...
