You have sure switched your tune on not laying big numbers. Detroit -230 w/ Bonderman & the Mets with that piece of crap Zambrano @ -167...I could never lay huge odds with Zambrano when he's typically among the leaders in walks allowed. Detroit should win, but I would have to play the run line not the money line... price is just too steep. Good Luck Wise!

Have appreciated your picks and hard work. That being said I can't help but look at the high risk, low reward bets as incredibly risky when the lines are set at not what the talent dictates, but where the money is coming from. Looking at your Detroit bet here. I was watching these forums the day that UCONN played George Mason. I watched big bettor after big bettor taking the ML on UCONN. I saw one bettor on this site go for over $4,000 on UCONN. I would have done it myself, not that amount though, if I hadn't absolutely Pi$$ed away a small fortune through out the tourney. What a shock that was with an outright Goerge Mason win in OT! Just had to add that but of course I am with ya, just at a lower tax rate!! Good luck and Godspeed Wise.

ysg,

I begin every baseball season playing only dogs because the gap between the good teams and the bad teams is quite small. Why would I ever bet a favorite during the first week or two when starting pitchers are still working on their mechanics, players are still trying to figure out their roles, and every team believes it has a chance to put together a winning season? Now, however, we are a month into the season. The gap has widened. Things have changed significantly. I feel like I have a strong grasp on how things are going to play out the rest of the season. You will see me add more favorites to my daily card. I still always look at the dogs first, but I'm not strictly playing dogs at this point. I hope this helps. Do I recommend playing Detroit at -230 long term? Hell no! You will lose your ass if you lay high chalk like this on a regular basis. However, I will do it every now and then when the timing is just right. Good luck!
