CHICAGO CUBS (Maddux) -125 over ARIZONA (Batista)

Considering how well Greg Maddux has performed
so far in 2006 (5-0, +$530, 1.35 ERA) surprised
the line on this game is as low as it is. It may climb a
bit before the first pitch, so try to get in early. Arizona is
an average team when facing against rigthanders (only
4.6 runs per game). Chicago, on the other hand, has
posted an 11-4 mark vs. righties (+$755), averaging 5.6
runs per game. They should have no trouble doing at least
that well vs. Miguel Batista (6.34 ERA) so jump on the road
team with the hot pitcher as a reasonably priced favorite.

ray any chance we can get the info on the new series??

Florida at Washington (2) 3rd, 4th

We?ll take a shot with the visitor if either Willis (2.92) or Olsen (1.50) are on the hill for the Marlins. The Nationals are 1-4 (-$300) vs. lefties, averaging 2.8 runs per game. PREFERRED: Willis/Olsen.

Atlanta at Philadelphia (2) 3rd, 4th

The Phillies are a dismal 3-8 (-$755) at home this year so take a shot with Jon Thomson, who has been very sharp in his first three starts this season (0.53 ERA). PREFERRED: Thomson.

Pittsburgh at N.Y. Mets (2) 3rd, 4th

We?d consider using Tom Glavine (Pirates 1-8, -$715 vs. lefties) but don?t want to lay the fat price here at Shea. PREFERRED: None.

San Francisco at Milwaukee (2) 3rd, 4th

The Brewers have the 3rd highest team BA in the NL (.280) and they?ve got capable starting pitching to go with it. Use them if they are available at a fair price. PREFERRED: Brewers at -125 or less.

St. Louis at Houston (2) 3rd, 4th

Big showdown in the NL Central. We?ll see how things go over the next few days and check back on game day. PREFERRED: None.

Cincinnati at Colorado (2) 3rd, 4th

The Reds have won a bundle on the road this year (+$465) while the Rockies have lost money here at Coors Field (-$290). Take a shot with Cincy in this two game set. PREFERRED: Reds in both games.

Chicago Cubs at Arizona (2) 3rd, 4th

Lots of righty vs. righty matchups when these two rotations square off. Should line up nicely for the visitor (Diamondbacks -$335, Cubs +$555 in that situation). PREFERRED: Cubs when righty vs. righty.

San Diego at L.A. Dodgers (2) 3rd, 4th

Clay Hensley has looked decent in his two starts and is likely to get a shot as an underdog at LA. The Dodgers have trouble scoring runs off righties (4.1 per game). PREFERRED: Hensley.

Toronto at Boston (2) 3rd, 4th

The Blue Jays are already 4-2 (+$280) vs. the Bosox, having gone 11-7 (+$905) in head to head play last year. Hard to resist taking the Jays in this series, and look to come away with at least a profitable split. PREFERRED: Blue Jays in both games.

L.A. Angels at Detroit (2) 3rd, 4th

The Tigers are loaded with lefties, and the Angels are only averaging 3.4 runs against them in their five attempts. The Tigers are averaging 5.5 runs per game vs. righthanders, and LA has no lefties. We?ll play these accordingly. PREFERRED: Lefthanders vs. the Angels.

N.Y. Yankees at Tampa Bay (2) 3rd, 4th

The Yankees faced Tampa Bay in the Bronx last week, so check those results. This team killed NY in 2005 (11-8, +$1660) so we?ll grab the fat prices here. PREFERRED: Devil Rays in both games.

Seattle at Chicago W. Sox (2) 3rd, 4th

We?d consider using Jaime Moyer as a fat underdog against the World Champions (-$380 vs. lefties last two years) if he gets a start, otherwise we?re not interested. PREFERRED: Moyer.

Baltimore at Texas (2) 3rd, 4th

Take a shot with the O?s (+$555 on the road at night last year, +$325 in ?06) if they send a southpaw to the hill (Texas -$1370 vs. lefties last 2 years). PREFERRED: Lefthanders vs. the Rangers.

Kansas City at Minnesota (2) 3rd, 4th

Can?t touch KC on the road (0-9 ,-$900) and the prices will keep us from finding value with the Twins. PREFERRED: None.

Cleveland at Oakland (2) 3rd, 4th

The Indians are solid vs. righties (6.8 runs per game) and the A?s are notoriously slow starters. PREFERRED: Indians vs. righthanders.

Thanks for the winner..If I didnt happen to see your LOUD thread b4 I left to my sons game I would have missed it..It was a very stressful game to watch, but it worked out...I was happy when they pulled Tejada for a pinch runner, that was a bat I was scared of
