COLORADO (Cook) +120 over ATLANTA (Sosa) small play
The loss of Leo Mazzone as Atlanta pitching coach
has been most noticeable in the early 2006 failures
of Jorge Sosa. The righthander has been dreadful
in his first four starts (-$415, 6.90 ERA) and could be
in for another rough outing vs. a Colorado team that
is pounding righthanders (+$520 with 5.2 runs per
game). Aaron Cook has compiled a 3.44 ERA in his
five starts, very effective for anyone who starts half his
games at Coors Field. The Braves are struggling well
below .500 (-$405) and should not be so heavily favored
vs. a struggling hurler who's taking on surging, hard hitting
visitor.
