wise--I don't know if this has been asked and answered already, but I am curious as to what is behind your major change in philosophy. You used to only play dogs, with an occasional small favorite here and there. Seems like you have done a 180 on your philosophy. Just curious as to why.

Keith,

Yeah, ysg asked me the same question on Monday. Here was my reply:

I begin every baseball season playing only dogs because the gap between the good teams and the bad teams is quite small. Why would I ever bet a favorite during the first week or two when starting pitchers are still working on their mechanics, players are still trying to figure out their roles, and every team believes it has a chance to put together a winning season? Now, however, we are a month into the season. The gap has widened. Things have changed significantly. I feel like I have a strong grasp on how things are going to play out the rest of the season. You will see me add more favorites to my daily card. I still always look at the dogs first, but I'm not strictly playing dogs at this point. I hope this helps. Do I recommend playing Detroit at -230 long term? Hell no! You will lose your ass if you lay high chalk like this on a regular basis. However, I will do it every now and then when the timing is just right. Good luck!
