Will the refs help Pho keep it close tonight.
This have been by far the best series in the playoffs. If you are a NBA fan or investor, it would be a shame to see this series end tonight. A game
seven would do wonders the playoffs. The refs knew this the last game so they helped LA win,
the tide turns tonight, the refs help Pho tonight
to force a game seven.
Pho +4 and Pho ML for me big.
Wish everyone luck.

Although it seems like fix would be in and all that but in NBA in the past 3 4 years the finals have ended in a 4-6 games so if that is not controlled by refs why would they try and control a first playoff series

nagrawa - i agree 100%. i think people tend to get carried away with this nonsense about refs controlling the games and outcomes. they dont miss the free throws, throw a bad pass, miss wide open 3 pointers etc.
they call what they see and they are the best refs in any sport by far

The HOME COURT advantage in the NBA is terrible... That is where I agree about refs. The Heat shot just 5 free throws in Chicago and everyone was saying they're too old. They get back to Miami and shoot like 35 FT's. You have to be REALLY, REALLY good to win on the road these days.

too bad the refs couldn't help the nuggets win any games

:mj07: :mj07:

it would have been great for profits in denver - but i guess the series wasn't exciting enough to warrant the fix....

this thread is really hilarious - i have to agree with shark that the refs are some of the best of any sport which is impressive in such a quick game - sure they are human so bound to make errors...

the suns will get plenty of calls tonight, as will the lakers, as will the heat, as will the bulls etc etc

just make sure you look for the bad foul calls against both teams, not just the one you bet on

i agree the Suns bring their best game tonight - it's really WIN OR GO HOME now....

but i'm sure everyone saw Kobe's expression after Bell threw him to the ground in the last game - i think this is just extra motivation for the lakers and the lakers home crowd....

i think the lakers bring their A+++ game tonight

SUNS :bigun:

Section XIV-Traveling
a. A player who receives the ball while standing still may pivot, using either foot as the pivot foot.
b. A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may use a two-count rhythm in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball.
The first count occurs:
(1) As he receives the ball, if either foot is touching the floor at the time he receives it.
(2) As the foot touches the floor, or as both feet touch the floor simultane- ously after he receives the ball, if both feet are off the floor when he receives it.
The second occurs:
(1) After the count of one when either foot touches the floor, or both feet touch the floor simultaneously.
c. A player who comes to a stop on the count of one may pivot, using either foot as the pivot foot.
d. A player who comes to a stop on the count of two, with one foot in advance of the other, may pivot using only the rear foot as the pivot foot.
e. A player who comes to a stop on the count of two, with neither foot in advance of the other, may use either foot as the pivot foot.
f. In starting a dribble after (1) receiving the ball while standing still, or (2) coming to a legal stop, the ball must be out of the player's hand before the pivot foot is raised off the floor.
g. If a player, with the ball in his possession, raises his pivot foot off the floor, he must pass or shoot before his pivot foot returns to the floor. If he drops the ball while in the air, he may not be the first to touch the ball.
h. A player who falls to the floor while holding the ball, or while coming to a stop, may not gain an advantage by sliding.
i. A player who attempts a field goal may not be the first to touch the ball if it fails to touch the backboard, basket ring or another player.
PENALTY: Loss of ball. The ball is awarded to the opposing team at the sideline, nearest spot of the violation but no nearer the baseline than the foul line extended.
