I haven't called many things right on this show, but I had Michael nailed as one of the others. My wife had mentioned (as Brushman) that both girls killed off had DUIs during shooting. I think Anna spent some time in jail.

What I think happens (which probably won't be accurate) is that Michael shot himself and let the guy go to make it look like he broke out. This was done to give the group immediate motivation for attacking the others. As shown in previews, he will be staging accidents to eliminate the stronger individuals of the group before arriving.

Great episode.
