Kentucky Derby Thoughts
Here are some thoughts regarding the Toughest Race in Show Business.
Everyone is talking about the abundance of speed in this Derby and watching a possible meltdown with closers coming in and picking up the pieces.
Well, I am of the opinion that with 20 entrants, you have to be in the first wave, or close to it, when hitting the top of the stretch.
With 20 entrants, there is going to be some heavy traffic and I believe closers will have a tough time negotiating , bobbing and weaving, through the crowd; this coupled with a possible wet track, I am sticking with speed or stalkers. Don?t get me wrong, I am not saying a closer cannot win this Derby, IMHO, I think their chances will be compromised.
