People have a way of overthinking things when the playoffs come around, so I am here to help simplify things for everybody. Much like in the NFL playoffs, if you take the spread out of the equation and just pick a winner, you will be successful. I posted this during the NFL playoffs.

During this seasons first round and last seasons playoffs, not counting the Super Bowl, the winning team is 13-1 ATS. The only hiccup here is Steelers -8.5 against the Jets.

During the regular season the winning team went 206-40-10 ATS. (83.7 %)

For anyone who is not sure why I am posting this....it's to show how the point spreads don't really matter too often in the NFL.

After the first round of the NBA playoffs we have a similar trend starting to take shape. The winning team posted a 37-6-2 record (86%) against the spread.

Series breakdown:
Cavs-Wizards....Winning team 5-1 ATS
Detroit-Bucks...Winning team 4-0-1 ATS
Dallas-Memphis...Winning team 4-0 ATS
SA-Sacto...Winning team 5-1 ATS
NJ-Indiana...Winning team 5-1 ATS
Miami-Chicago...Winning team 4-1-1 ATS
Lakers-Phoenix...Winning team 6-1 ATS
Clips-Denver...Winning team 4-1 ATS
