what the hell happened to this kid? cant remember the last pitcher that was so incredibly dominant one year ... and then a complete gas can just two seasons later. cant find the plate consistently. no longer has an 'out' pitch. what the hell? just making contact against him was a success not long ago.

on similar note, looks like a change of scenery hasnt helped dewon brazelton live up to his draft hype either. its pretty sad when you go into mop-up duty with a 10.00 era and guys just looking to give you free outs ... and then your ERA goes up at the end of the day.

I am not sure if that game was already over the total but if it wasn't and I had the under I would be pretty pissed. Some of these closers are brutal man, I mean it is a miracle I won that D-Rays bet yesterday with a 1-0 lead going into the 8th. I think the Rays just picked up someone from SF with a 12.00 ERA to be their closer...

Danny Graves wasn't ever dominant like Lidge but he did do a decent job as a closer for several years in Cincy. He has to be one of if not the worst pitcher in baseball right now. What's scary is that Cleveland has been using him on a fairly regular basis......is the talent pool really that thin and if so, why?
