Screwed the CUBs, Dempster, and the manager... up 3-1 and they bring in the releive pitcher and give up 3 run homer in the top of the 9th!!!!

i dont care what anyone says on this board or anywhere if u think you can cap baseball in todays era u are living a dam pipe dream. u cannot factor into the fact that the relieve pitching cannot close out a game, i dont care if its a 4 run lead, 5 run lead it is a crap shoot. 2 years ago it was starting to show but this year it is the worst i have seen.

a closer is supposed to close out a game not give up double after double or walk after walk then a tator shot. this cannot be factored in no matter how much grinding you do. unless of course bullpens are just spent which in both early games today it was not a factor. starting pitching was excellent and then poof. all i can say is i have seen it all today. once again the dodgers are the major culprit again.

dont like playing first 5 innings wish i could play the last 2 lol. the game is really saturated with terrible pitching especially middle relieve and closers. many say steroids has caused a spike in hr's lately and it may have had a small effect imo. but todays pitchers are absolutely horrible. not many can pitch a complete game let alone give u 7 strong. and i doubt if we ever see a closer for the next few years that have seasons as eckersley and gagne had years back.

expansion and diluted talent is really starting to take effect. i could care less about the money thats not my prob. i love baseball and the game it used to be. todays game is a far cry from yester year.
