If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.

Sometimes you get and sometimes you get got.

You can't tell how good a man or a watermelon is 'til they get thumped.

Don't squat with your spurs on.

Joe Buck (Midnight Cowboy, 1969): John Wayne! Are you tryin' to tell me he's a fag?

count to twenty turn and shoot.

You'll have to suck it out Billy Joe, the poison is spreading.

Don't shoot till you see the white of his eyes.

If I catch him. I'll scalp him.

there are two kinds of people in the world...

i'm not sure what you mean-
those that are right and those that think their right-

those that are positive and those that are negative-

those that are kind and those that are not-

those that have a sense of humor and those that don't-

whatever kind no offense meant to any brokeback gamblers-

none of us gets out of here alive so we may as well have some laughs-

go dallas and hope everyones bets hit today-

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rawhide!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them dogies rollin'
Rawhide!
Rain and wind and weather
Hell-bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my side.
All the things I'm missin',
Good vittles, love, and kissin',
Are waiting at the end of my ride

CHORUS
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Rawhide
Count 'em out, ride 'em in,
Ride 'em in, count 'em out,
Count 'em out, ride 'em in
Rawhide!

Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin'
Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope, throw, and brand 'em
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.

Rawhide!
Rawhide!

"Have Gun - Will Travel" (1957)
Paladin: I don't think you got a very good look at this gun while you had it. The balance is perfect. This trigger responds to a pressure of one ounce. If you look carefully in the barrel you'll see the lines of the rifling. It's a rarity in a hand weapon. This gun was handcrafted to my specifications and I rarely draw it unless I mean to use it. Would you care for a demonstration?

"Bonanza" (1959) [TV-Series 1959-1973]
Quotes:
Ben Cartwright: You and your education.
Adam Cartwright: Education is progress! Now what have you got against it?
Ben Cartwright: I don't have anything against education - as long as it doesn't interfere with your thinking! :mj07:

"Bonanza" aired on NBC in September of 1959. Filmed in color, it was put in the 7:30 PM slot on Saturday nights so that people in the appliance stores could see it on the television sets and be convinced to buy an RCA color television. The ploy worked.
