Divine prophets have promised : The day will come when all humans will congregate before the court of the Almighty, so that their deeds are examined. The good will be directed towards Haven and evildoers will meet divine retribution. I trust both of us believe in such a day, but it will not be easy to calculate the actions of rulers, because we must be answerable to our nations and all others whose lives have been directly or indirectly effected by our actions.
All prophets, speak of peace and tranquillity for man ? based on monotheism, justice and respect for human dignity.

Do you not think that if all of us come to believe in and abide by these principles, that is, monotheism, worship of God, justice, respect for the dignity of man, belief in the Last Day, we can overcome the present problems of the world ? that are the result of disobedience to the Almighty and the teachings of prophets ? and improve our performance?
Do you not think that belief in these principles promotes and guarantees peace, friendship and justice?
Do you not think that the aforementioned written or unwritten principles are universally respected?
Will you not accept this invitation? That is, a genuine return to the teachings of prophets, to monotheism and justice, to preserve human dignity and obedience to the Almighty and His prophets?
Mr President, History tells us that repressive and cruel governments do not survive. God has entrusted The fate of man to them. The Almighty has not left the universe and humanity to their own devices. Many things have happened contrary to the wishes and plans of governments. These tell us that there is a higher power at work and all events are determined by Him.

Can one deny the signs of change in the world today? Is this situation of the world today comparable to that of ten years ago? Changes happen fast and come at a furious pace.
The people of the world are not happy with the status quo and pay little heed to the promises and comments made by a number of influential world leaders. Many people around the wolrd feel insecure and oppose the spreading of insecurity and war and do not approve of and accept dubious policies.
The people are protesting the increasing gap between the haves and the have-nots and the rich and poor countries.

The people are disgusted with increasing corruption.
The people of many countries are angry about the attacks on their cultural foundations and the disintegration of families. They are equally dismayed with the fading of care and compassion. The people of the world have no faith in international organisations, because their rights are not advocated by these organisations.
Liberalism and Western style democracy have not been able to help realize the ideals of humanity. Today these two concepts have failed. Those with insight can already hear the sounds of the shattering and fall of the ideology and thoughts of the liberal democratic systems.
We increasingly see that people around the world are flocking towards a main focal point ? that is the Almighty God. Undoubtedly through faith in God and the teachings of the prophets, the people will conquer their problems. My question for you is : Do you not want to join them?
Mr President,
Whether we like it or not, the world is gravitating towards faith in the Almighty and justice and the will of God will prevail over all things.

Vasalam Ala Man Ataba'al hoda
Mahmood Ahmadi-Najad President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

When I get time I am going to read this carefully.

If I was George W I would definately respond to this letter.
And I would write it for the world to read.

Well I guess I could do the next best thing.

KOD will write a letter back to Iran.

Jews of the Holy Land in the 19th Century

The Jews were concentrated mainly in the four "Holy Cities": Jerusalem, Safed, Tiberias and Hebron. By and large, the Jews were regarded as second-class citizens of the Ottoman Empire. They encountered legal discrimination at every turn, and evidence given by them was not recognized by the courts. Jews were debarred from attaining high government office. They were subject to daily mockery and scorn, were forbidden to ride camels or horses within the city limits, and were obliged to make way for Moslems. Their persons and possessions were unprotected by law and prone to constant abuse (without any possibility of appealing to the courts of justice). M. Reisher, who lived in Jerusalem, writes in 1866:
"When a Jew walked among them in the market, one would throw a stone at him in order to kill him, another would pull his beard, and a third his ear-lock, yet another spit on his face, and he became a symbol of abuse".
Although their principal source of income was the "Haluka" (financial support from abroad), heavy taxes were imposed on them by the Turkish authorities. Subsequent to the Crimean War (1853-1854), there was a gradual improvement in the predicament of the Jews, mainly as the result of the protection granted them by the consuls in certain cases. In any event, they continued to be second-class citizens reliant on the clemency of the ruling authorities and the Moslem population. From the 1840's the Jewish community grew considerably through new waves of immigrants, mainly from Russia. In the 1880's the Jewish population was further augmented by refugees and agricultural settlements which were founded in many parts of the country. Jewish urban centers (particularly in Jerusalem, Jaffa and Haifa), developed as well.

The Landscape of the Holy Land in the 19th Century

On The Main Road From Shechem To Jerusalem, 1913
The views unfolding before the eyes of visitors to the Holy Land in former times differed from those seen today. To a large extent the landscape was one of desolation and ruin, swamps and uncultivated wilderness, with a sparse and backward population living mainly in small settlements. The most prominent changes have occurred in the coastal plain and the valleys of the interior, the greater parts of which were formerly covered by swamps and sparsely settled by Bedouins and poor Arab peasants. Today, these are the most highly populated and prosperous regions of Israel. The Sharon and certain areas of Samaria and Judea were partly afforested in those days[1]. On the other hand, visitors to the Holy Land found its scenery far more reminiscent of the Biblical world than is the case at present. This also applied to the day-to-day life of its inhabitants and their various occupations, the latter having undergone but minor changes from ancient times to the 19th century. Animals were still being used for ploughing and threshing, flour was ground by millstones as in days of yore, water was brought from the wells in jugs, camel caravans made their way along the roads, women bore bundles of kindling on their heads. All these scenes created the impression of a remote and enchanted world whose association with the Biblical world was inevitable. They were often captured for posterity by the lens of the camera. Today these photographs frequently serve as the sole evidence of a way-of-life and culture which within a single generation will belong wholly to the past.

Land of Israel
Israel today (including the West Bank) occupies most of the land that it did during biblical times. Many proposals were made for locating a State for the Jewish people elsewhere, even in Kenya Africa. In the end, the social-historical importance of the Holy Land and Jerusalem to the Jewish people has proven essential to the Jewish Identity and it's rebuilding. Especially since approx. 1/3 of the world's Jewish population was destroyed as civilians during the last world war.

Interesting that........

Interesting that........

I had difficulty finding the entire letter.....you woud think someone like USA Today would print it for the public to read for themselves.

Of course people with open minds might read it and say..."Hey, he speaks some truth" but no, we have to keep up the unbridled hate and not give someone pause to question the agenda.....so lets hide the true message.

bush can always just leave this problem for the next (most likely dem.) president, like clinton left iraq, alqaeda and n.korea for bush to deal with...

he really should...

history seems to start over on inauguration day, and maybe the iran problem will be more honestly debated in the u.s.if you take the “bush is a war-mongering liar” playing card off the table.....

play the hand as it is...roll the dice on the annihilation of israel...and hope it doesn`t happen until `09...

But Bush is a war-mongering liar. You can't take that card off the table. It is a proven. Over and over again.

"""It is all about money and oil........Iran wants an oil bourse denominated in Euros. It is now denominated in rapidly depreciating toilet paper rolls of dollars.
We cannot allow our monopoly to be questioned, we can print lots of toilet paper with dead people on them, we can not as of yet ,print Euros or produce enuff gold coins out of thin air...

By the way, where are those WMD in Iraq?

Got oil anyone???"""

ahhh...the oil and wmd`s...those pesky wmd`s we knew weren`t there but still used as a rationale to take out saddam...knowing full well we`d be proven wrong and be vilified by the msm and the anti-american cia, eurabia et al....

and the oil?...hello! ....remember the oil we lied our way into an illegal war for? ...

i’ll take my cut any freaking time now. .....92 octane, if you please.......be it iraq’s or iran’s, i can`t be bothered. ....i have places to go to at a high rate of speed.....i’d like to leave immediately, so that I can get back faster. ...

chop chop....

i admit that "the stevie`s" of the world have already won the "rhetorical war".....

. to the stevie`s of the world, the rhetorical battlefield has already been shaped, and we lost....

their "vacation from history" only applies to democrats; that’s why clinton could ignore the u.n.and go into bosnia and sign a law declaring the removal of saddam as official u.s. policy without being called an imperialist. ...

in the stevie world,if we get hit, well, we deserve it, plus probably president cheney ordered it.....

if israel gets hit ... well, a lot of lefties and totalitarian/socialists around the world will see that as a nasty little problem efficiently solved....

if anyone else gets hit, it’ll be because we destabilized the entire planet and no one else did that because we are all powerful except when it comes to preventing something terrible from happening in which case we are inept bunglers who probably ordered the hit.....

a nice little package with a pretty bow on top...

I not sure that i've heard anyone, anywhere in this country, say they were against the Iraq occupation because it went against the U.N. There are/were dozens of better reasons.

I'm sure there were some stray cries to that effect, but it certainly wasn't/isn't prevelant in the least. So i'm not sure I see your point.

And we'll try this one more time: 'removal of Saddam' does NOT necessarily mean invasion, destruction, occupation, reconstruction, attempt at democratization that is impossible.

Wasn't one of W's camapaign pitches, 'absolutely no nation building?'

a strange sidebar of note.....

chimpy mchaliburton just normalized relations with khaffi and libya...renewed diplomatic ties...

WASHINGTON - ""The Bush administration has decided to restore normal diplomatic relations with Libya for the first time in over a quarter century after taking Moammar Gadhafi’s country off a U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism, State Department officials said Monday.

“This is not a decision that we arrived at without carefully monitoring and assessing Libya’s behavior,” Assistant Secretary of State David Welch said.

Welch said the United States will soon upgrade its diplomatic office in Tripoli to a full embassy. The move culminates a process that began three years ago when Tripoli surprised the world by agreeing to dismantle its nuclear weapons program.

There have been no normal relations with Libya since 1980. The State Department for several years listed Libya among nations the U.S. government considered as official sponsors of terrorism.

Libya was held responsible for the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 in 1988, which claimed 270 lives, most of them American. But Libya has made a decisive move away from terrorism in recent years, officials said.""

hmmm?..libya getting some aid...recently gave up their nuclear ambitions.......last year,we won some lucrative oil contracts from libya...along with canada, algeria, indonesia and brazil....europe was shut out...

the country has just been opened up to cell phones, internet, satellite dishes, and it's a very small country....very large territorially, but only five, six million people.....

but, from what i`ve read, they're actually very pro-american....supposedly,they really want better relations with the u.s.( as much as they can talk freely in that state)....

but, over the years, libya has been responsible for the death of many westerners....... were a preeminent terrorist supporter for decades.....

i hope chimpy is very careful...

still,on it`s face, this is a pretty amazing turn of events...

are you watching iran?....how`s saddam making out?......then,take a gander at khaddafi...

hopefully,it makes them think, even though i doubt it will...

anybody see this on the news?.....reopening diplomatic relations with a terrorist state?.....doing business...opening embassies...

you`d think this`d be front page news....would seem very significant...

guess not....lol

I think it's pretty significant and a good move. We need to show nations like this that if they live up to their end of the bargain, then so will we.

North Korea is a perfect example. The 1994 agreement very likely would have worked, and in some ways it did work until 2003(cameras, 8,000 sealed spent rods, inspectors on site) if we had lived up to our end.

Democrats like to blame the Republican controlled congress, but in the end the buck stops with Clinton. We made 4 main promises in that agreement:

1. Normalized relations
2. Guarantee of non-aggression to NK in regards to nukes
3. Build light water reactors
4. Oil shipments

Only #4 was ever lived up to and Bush quickly put an end to that.

So they process the rods and possibly have nukes. They continued to pursue nuke techology during the 90's, but if they do indeed have a weapon, it has only been in the last few years.

Anyways, the point is that if we make these 'deals' with rogue nations, they aren't the only ones who need to live up to their end of the bargain.

As far as Libya goes, they have done what's been asked so far, so why not give it a chance? We can always reverse course pretty quickly if necessary.

TOKYO, Japan (Reuters) -- North Korea may be preparing to launch a long-range ballistic missile that could reach parts of the United States, Japanese media reports said on Friday, but Japan's government said it did not believe a launch was imminent.

Quoting unidentified South Korean government officials, public broadcaster NHK said satellite pictures showed there have been signs since early this month around a site in northeastern North Korea that pointed to a possible firing in the near future.

Analysts have said, though, that development of a multiple-stage version of a ballistic missile that can take payloads deep into the continental United States is years away.

Japan's top government spokesman, Shinzo Abe, said he could not comment on specific security issues, but added, "At the moment, we do not believe that a launch is imminent."

Asked by reporters if the situation posed a threat to Japan's national security, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said: "Japan maintains its security through deterrence under the Japan-U.S. security alliance and I believe North Korea knows that."

He added that he did not believe the situation was serious.

The latest reports come amid a deadlock in six-party talks aimed at dismantling North Korea's nuclear programs, and ahead of a visit to China next week by the chief U.S. negotiator to the talks that involve the two Koreas, the United States, Japan, Russia and host China.

North Korea has said in numerous official media reports that it is building a nuclear deterrent to counter U.S. hostility. The United States believes that North Korea has one or two nuclear bombs and the ability to build more.

U.S. officials said on Thursday that Washington was open to discussions with North Korea on a peace treaty at the same time as the six-party nuclear talks, but that Pyongyang must return to the negotiating table first.

North Korea has long demanded a peace treaty to replace the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean war.

Some experts detected in the U.S. stance at least a slight change in emphasis designed to entice Pyongyang back to the table and keep Asian allies from blaming Washington for the moribund diplomacy.

NHK said the missile appeared to be a Taepodong-2, which previous reports have said has a range of more than 6,700 km (4,200 miles), making it capable of hitting Alaska with a light payload.

Quoting Japanese government sources, Japan's Kyodo news agency also said that a launch could be imminent and that the missile was probably a Taepodong-2.

However, a report in March by the California-based Center for Nonproliferation Studies, a non-governmental organization, said North Korea did not have an operational missile that could hit the continental United States.

That report said Pyongyang was working on a solid-fuel missile, Taepodong-X, with a range of up to 4,000 km (2,500 miles) that could hit Japan as well as U.S. bases in Guam, but North Korea has yet to demonstrate its reliability through a test flight.

North Korea shocked the world in August 1998 when it fired a Taepodong missile that flew over Japan before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean.

NHK, quoting U.S. government officials, said if the missile was a modified version of the Taepodong-2, it could have a range of 15,000 km (9,300 miles), which would cover all of the United States.

U.S. officials have said the North is developing longer-range missiles that could hit the continental United States.
.........................................................

Iran lined up right behind N Korea on the smoke your nuke program until you have everything in place.

Its a joke really. Nothing can be done to stop this.

I think at this point I would say to Iran. Listen Iran. If you truly ever do make a effort of any kind to annihilate Israel, the US response will be to bomb your country and take it over.

The Jewish people will need a place to live so we will allow them to move to Iran and take over all the cities and oil production.
They will prosper on your land with your oil futures.

In America there is a saying that says, a neighbor will often have to stay over in their own yards and mind your own business, or trouble will usually be not far behind.

Think about it Aramajacketgeddon
