Texas +150

I think the inflated line for the Yankees is based on their recent dominance in this series. (10-1 in their last 11 against Texas :scared ). Milwood was really abused by Minnesota in his last start, giving up 9 runs on 9 hits in just 1.1 innings of work. He had been pretty solid before that, going at least 7 innings in four of his last five starts, while not allowing more than 3 ER's in any of those five games. He is also getting good support from his team when he takes the mound, having recieved an average of 5.6 runs from his team over his last five starts. Milwood is 2-0 this season on the road, allowing only 7 runs in 21 innings.

The Yankees, meanwhile, are struggling to score runs without Matsui in the lineup, mustering just 7 runs in their three game set with Oakland over the weekend. The public is all over the Yankees (74%) tonight.

Not only is the absence of Matsui hurting the Yankees at the plate but now they are missing his glove as well.

With the score tied at 2 and rain beginning to fall, Texas leadoff batter Gary Matthews Jr. opened the eighth with a double that was fumbled by 21-year-old rookie Melky Cabrera in left field -- allowing Matthews to reach second. He advanced on a wild pitch by Kyle Farnsworth (1-1) and scored on Teixeira's single.

Texas wins 4-2!! :toast:
