Im looking to get a new set of clubs, I play occasionally but I want to get something decent...

Im looking at a set of new Callaway Steelhead x16 irons for $449. They are at a golf shop by me, it says the orignal price is $700, this seems like a good deal.

Are these clubs a great deal or does it just seem like it? I need to check them out and see how the feel when I swing obviously but if anyone here has any reccomendations I would greatly appreciate it.

It's all about the shafts. Doesn't matter what brand is stamped on them if the shafts don't match your swing.

don,t buy any clubs until you get fitted !!it,s like buying a suit without trying it on because it looks good on the rack !!spend a few bucks and find out what works best for your swing. most places will deduct the cost of the fitting from the purchase price.

If u don't get out and play alot, those are probably the clubs for you. They are very forgiving.

Hows the price on those, is $449 a good deal or just something avg?

From what I am reading on those sites it seems like those clubs will fit my game well.
