Toronto - They have scored in 13 Games at (33)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 14 games at (36)%
Tampa Bay - They have scored in 14 Games at (34)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 10 games at (24)%
Baltimore - They have scored in 17 Games at (41)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 15 games at (37)%

Detroit - They have scored in 14 Games at (36)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 7 games at (18)%

Seattle - They have scored in 7 Games at (17)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 16 games at (39)%
Texas - They have scored in 11 Games at (28)% and have been scored on in the 1st by op in 16 games at (40)%

Note: % is different for every team because of games played. Looks better in Excel then in Word Text.

American League % Games scored by Day

Monday 46%
Tuesday 52%
Wednesday 47%
Thursday 52%
Friday 50%
Saturday 50%
Sunday 42%

Overall % =49.14%

National League % Games Scored by Day

Monday 80%
Tuesday 50%
Wednesday 50%
Thursday 50%
Friday 56%
Saturday 56%
Sunday 43%

Overall % =54.20%

So far I have been tracking these stats since the start of the season. The National League is your best bet if you want a team to score in the first. The % is real high each day.

Nice stats, thanks a lot.

Just wondering if you have any stats on streaks of teams scoring or not scoring?

In other words, what is the longest streak of a team scoring in the 1st, and what is the longest streak of a team not scoring in the first?

Thanks again.

Wite Sox's & Cubs = 1st Inn NO Score

White Sox 33% & Cubs Maddux who needs this win. Also NL is like AAA.

Cubs go down 123
Then Maddux will get them down.
Whitesox score all their runs in 2 &4 Inn

Thanks for the info.

Seems like the streaks favor no score.

The longest streak of scoring was just 3 games, but the longest streak of not scoring was 7 games.

Interesting.

I have always wondered about this area and was looking for an angle to exploit.....

Seems a lot easier to comprehend when its arranged in the 1000110011 method.....a little confusing when Bos is scoring 32% and being scored upon 45%, in that there should be some overlap where either one team or both scores...don't know if what I'm trying to explain is coming across, but if I was to exaggerate the opposite and state that Boston scored 32% of the time, and the other teams scored when Bos didn't for a grand total of 77%.....(77% obviously incorrect outcome but using it as an example....)

Chase system rather questionable given stats on Angels and Seattle putting up 8 and 9 in a row....Yankees have a streak of three but nothing says they couldn't tear off an 8 or 9 streak and crush a chase system....also have thought about two teams running a streak, matching up, and are "due" to go the other direction but nothing says they can't extend the streak another game or two.....

Just a few of my own thoughts......

Was looking forward to seeing your post, thanks for posting it Godzilla.......Mark...

Can use these stats to help in prop plays at Oly.
They have who will lead after 1 inning and most hits in the 1st inning props. Used to play the score/no score--but like these better.
They also have who will score first
