After watching this fantastic series between Dallas and San Antonio I began to think to myself, "That was an unbelievable series. I have not watched such an entertaining series in who know how long." I began to think of all the best series I have seen in recent memory and these are what I came up with.
2002 Western conf. Finals: Kings vs. Lakers
This was smack in the middle of the Laker dynasty and the Kings had them on the ropes, down 3-2. The Kings should have have won the series if not for the legend of Big Shot Rob.
"It's the luckiest thing I've ever seen in my life. Vlade hit the ball and it went straight into his hands and he was wide-open. The whole game, he was going for offensive boards, but at that moment he was waiting right there. You could never see this type of game in your life."
-- Hedo Turkoglu, on Robert Horry's Game 4 game-winner
Game 7 went to overtime and six of the seven games were decide by seven points or less. Just a great series to watch.
2004 Conference Semifinals: Spurs vs. Lakers
The Spurs went up 2-0 , winning the first two games on the road to send fear into Laker Nation. This seemed to be the year that the Lakers dominant run throughout the Western Conference would finally come to an end. After tying the series at 2-2, the Spurs thought they had Game 5 won.
With 11 seconds remaining, Kobe Bryant hit a jump shot to put the Lakers up 72-71. The Spurs, needing last-minute heroics, thought they clinched the game when Tim Duncan somehow made an 18-foot shot despite falling away from the basket and solid defense from Shaquille O'Neal. The Spurs led 73-72 with 0.4 seconds on the clock. After three time-outs, Gary Payton found Fisher, who managed to catch, turn, and shoot to win the game.
LA went on to win game 6 easily and became only the 8th team to win down a series down 0-2.
So which was your favorite???

Kings---Lakers 2002 West Finals
Mavs---Spurs 2006 West Semis
