Going to New York in 2 weeks for a Ginats/Mets game and then Yankees/BoSox game. The ball and chain would like to (if at all possible) see some homes of the rich & famous. Anyone know of any in Manhatten?

there are no homes in manhattan...mostly apt. houses.....

along central park west there is the building (forgot the exact street)where john lennon lived & died...but it just looks like any other building....

i've come across "famous people" walking along soho & in the village area, as well as in central park....

also check out the different museums that manhattan has, you may or may not run into anybody famous, but you will enjoy it......

enjoy your stay..

yeah, manhattan is all apartment houses, albeit fancy in a lot of areas.....agree with AR, central park has lots of em I've heard, if you have time which you probably wont but if you drive 1.5 hrs out to the hamptons there are lots of famous people there but houses all blocked off...just people watch when you're in nyc, eat the great food, go to a bar, it's just an awesome place and unmatched by anywhere imo....I may be going to giants/mets that fri also if you wanna grab a cocktail, enjoy your stay in the big apple the weather should be nice it's been mid 60s/low 70s for the last few weeks

soho, village and in the 50's on 5th and park is where your best bet is to see some famous, pretty much everyone walking around in those areas is rich....
you can buy into one of those cheesy tourist bus trips for cheap and i heard they bring you around to some celebs houses but not certain with that. those things are actually pretty good because you knock out a lot of the "tourist" sites....in a couple hour trip
