Just an awful, awful night yesterday. :nooo: :nooo: I had such a great night on Monday, winning just under 7 units, only to give it right back to the books last night.
Tonight's game should be exciting to watch as both teams like to push the pace and put points on the board. They have played four times this season and the lowest total was 198 points. Each team has proven they are capable of winning on the other's home court as they split the season series 2-2 and each won once on the road.
That being said, I think the total for tonight's game is set a little high. Both teams are coming off tough (well, at least for Dallas) Game 7 victories. As we saw last night in the Piston's game, those tired legs have an effect on a team's jump shooting. The Pistons were getting open looks all night and were unable to hit any of them, as they shot just 37.8% from the field.
The last two games between these teams went just above the posted total, at 221 and 222 respectively. In the previous two games the teams finished at 198 and 219. The 219 total is somewhat misleading as the teams combined to score an amazing 39 points in OT. The total after 4 quarters was 180 points, far short of the posted 212.
I like the under for tonight's game.
