NY YANKEES (R. Johnson) +115 over BOSTON (Clement)

You know Randy Johnson's stock has gone down when
he's posted as an underdog against the likes of Matt
Clement (5.36 ERA in eight starts). But the Yankees
have Gary Sheffield back in the lineup, so we expect to
see plenty of runs against the mediocre Boston righty.
Despite a recent win, the Sox have not fared well against
Johnson since he joined New York in 2005, and they
have been less effective against southpaws (-$285 with
4.6 runs per game, almost a 1 1/2 per game less than
vs. righthanders). Yankee-Red Sox season series tend
to be competitive, so look for the NY team to come up
big as an underdog in the rubber game at Fenway.
