picked up a nice win with the Twins last night,
but we're reversing course today and coming back
with visiting Seattle. Unlike last evening's favorable
pitching matchup, the Twins will be going against
a tough veteran lefthander in Jaime Moyer (3.66 ERA),
a very difficult spot for a team sporting a pitiful 5-12
(-$725) record vs. lefties, with only 3.5 runs per game
in those contests. The Mariners average 5.2 runs per
game vs. righthanders, so the circumstances can't
be more favorable. Boof Bonser had a good first start
of the year, but he'll have his hands full with Seattle,
and the Twins are still lagging way behind in the AL
Central. Look for the visitor to even up this series with
a victory tonight.
