"Wake up Detroit.....Time to dieeeeeeee!!!"

Miami ML +235

Miami finishes off the Pistons tonight in front of the rowdy Detroit crowd. Flip Saunders is the worst thing that could've happened to this team. Even with all the distractions last year of "will he or won't he leave" Larry Brown had his team focused on winning an NBA title. They were within one quarter of winning B2B NBA titltes. This season they are being severely outplayed by a team they have owned all season long. The Heat do not want to provide any ray of hope to the Pistons after losing the series last year leading 3-2. They would love to go back to Miami and rest up for what is sure to be a tough Finals matchup against either Dallas or Phoenix, both of whom present different problems for a team like Miami.

Miami has been outplaying Detroit all series long and things should not change tonight. They took Detroit's best punch in both games 3 & 4 and are still standing. If not for a slow start to game 2 (12 point 1st qtr) there is a chance that the Heat may have swept this series.

My only worry is Tricky Dick Bavetta will not let this game be settled by the players, trying to extend this series.

Wayne,

I see the Heat closing this series out tonight as well...any worries that it seems to be everybody and their mother jumping on them tonight? I try not to get caught up in the "who is joe pub betting on?" psycho drama, but it has me a bit concerned...just wondering if this has you hedging a bit.

Jabberwocky...I cannot control what bets other people are making. I do see a lot of people on Miami and I have seen the majority of the board lose when everybody has been on the same side. BUT I also have seen alot of people win while betting the same side. The best thing I can do is trust my analysis of the game and hope I did my homework correctly. Other than that it does not matter so much who everybody likes, as far as I know no one who is wagering on this game is playing, coaching or umpiring in it as well.

Good luck to all the Heat backers tonight!! :grouphug:
