I have favorite teams in all sports but I have had only one "hometown" diehard team in my life.
It was the only team in my home state .. I went to the first game ever played in 1974 as a 6 year old I treked up to sprinfield when our roof collapsed.
Time and time and time again they under acheived finding new ways to blow playoff leads.. 2-1 lead game seven 1986 Montreal 4-1 3rd period lead to the hated Bruins.
I was at the last game in 1997
They ripped my beloved Whalers to freakin Carolina..
Now they will play for the stanley cup and should win
Can anyone relate to how bad I feel right now??

Fat Daddy
That has got to be close
BUT at least your team is still in the fr iendly confines
They pulled my team Never to play again
Now they are winning.. all it would of taken to sell out.. get a new building all it would take to keep the team in Hartford...
It truely hurts

If the Cubs ever left the friendly confines of the current ownership ("ahem" Mark Cuban) they would win in no time.

hokie,

O's fan all my life, it ain't easy...

Live and die with the sabres, they get beat by your old team the hurricanes who will win the cup. On a side note the sabres had two more defenseman hurt on the plane ride home, hope they'll be ok...

glad to hear you're doing better hokie...

Yea, I understand.

My favorite team is the third most popular team IN ITS OWN CITY (behind Alabama and Auburn).
