From the looks of the board, it looks like I will be flying solo on this one. Some people call it rest...I call it momentum killer. Hope I'm right ;)

With Roloson out for the rest of the series, my series bet is looking pretty damn good.

Crazy game tonight. I stopped watching when the Oilers went up 3-0. Flipped back later it was 3-3. Unfawkingbelievable ending...don't think I deserved to win tonight but sh*t I'll take it :SIB

There was a collission at the net where it looked like Roloson's back knocked the net off the moorings. I think it may be some sort of lower back injury but MacTavish already announced that he was out for the rest of the series. Tough break. He's been lights out all playoffs.

Roloson injured late in Oilers' loss to Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Oilers goalie Dwayne Roloson was knocked out of the Stanley Cup finals opener late in the third period Monday night when he was injured in a collision during Edmonton's 5-4 loss to Carolina.

With the pace frantic and the score tied at 4, Hurricanes rookie forward Andrew Ladd carried the puck into the Edmonton zone and cut across in the front of the net. He was met there by trailing defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron, who unloaded a big hit from behind that drove Ladd into Roloson with 5:54 remaining.

It was unclear what the injury was, but Roloson struggled to get back up after he crouched down.

He was replaced by backup Ty Conklin, who had been stuck on the Edmonton bench for the whole postseason as Roloson played every minute of the Oilers' first 17 playoff games and the first 54:06 of the finals opener.

Roloson has been a key player in Edmonton's surprising postseason run. The Oilers sneaked into the playoffs by clinching the eighth seed in the Western Conference on the second to last day of the regular season.

After Conklin, Michael Morrison and Jussi Markkanen struggled in net, Edmonton acquired Roloson on March 8 from Minnesota for a first-round draft choice and a conditional pick. Roloson allowed 13 goals in losing his first three games with the Oilers but dramatically improved when it counted.

Roloson, who stopped 19 shots Monday, was staked to a 3-0 lead but couldn't protect it. He entered with a 12-5 mark in the playoffs with a 2.22 goals-against average.

Conklin allowed the winning goal with 31.1 seconds remaining after a puck flub behind the goal with teammate Jason Smith led to Rod Brind'Amour's winner into an empty net.

my god,

carolina must have some kinda jinx on the other teams lately, buffalo had 4 players out during there series, now edmonton's main ingredient. (roloson) totally amazing. im shocked they sold out for this game, they had a tough time selling tickets for the buff series.think they have a great team, but fan support should have been better all along

Out of curiousity, how much did tix cost in Buffalo during the Conference Finals?? The games didn't sell out because hockey isn't even second fiddle here, maybe 5th. Upper levels sell out but even at 80-100 for the worst seat in the house is a bit much. but at around 180-200 a pop for lower levels during the buffalo series down here that's asking for something that's not gonna happen. It's not comparable to say, the Rangers or a NE team when the cost of living down here is a lot less.

Does anyone know the cost of the tix for the games upstate last round?
