I have had DirectTV for a few years and think it is the best option available. Cable is outrageously expensive, and dish... well... its like the generic version of everything in my opinion. My brother has dish, and when i go there to watch anything --- I just want to friggin scream at the tv because it sucks so bad.

i go with direct tv, and then have dsl thru the verizon freedom package. best option in my opinion.

For sports nothing beats Directv. I have had it about 7 years and love it.

Yep !!! This is the way to go. Only DirectTV has the Sunday ticket also. That, in itself, is reason enough.
The only drawback is the Internet. I have DSL and am reasonably satisfied, but I think cable in my area is a little faster, but I don't want to spend the extra money for cable AND satellite.
Also, with DirectTV, TIVO is limited on a few of the new capabilities such as wireless transmissions within your home network.

Personally, I can't live without TIVO or Satellite

I have had directv for 6 years now with no problems. If you decide to go with them I would definatly get the Sports Pack for an additional $12 a month. The Sports Pack has the NBA channel, TVG (horse racing), The Golf Channel, ESPNU, OLN, a bunch of Nascar and about 20 Fox Sports channels.

Are all the afc games with the nfl ticket in hd? I have comcast cable hd and the afc regional games are not in hd which is a joke. The two or three games of the day are in hd but not the rest. All of the fox nfc games are in hd. Comcast has a good service here but I hate like hell paying the cable monoplly $136 a month for hd cable with internet service. Have always thought about trying directv but have heard alot of stories about weather related outages during heavy wind and rain of which we get alot of during the summer here in florida plus having to sign 3 year contract would suck if you found out you did not like it. May give it a try though.

Each buddy is required to bring munchies each Sunday..They must vary their selections from week to week...Can't bring shrimp every Sunday..gotta mix it up some Sundays and bring steamed craps and or fresh oysters...
Make sure all off-shore sportsbook used are in favs and on desktop...time may be of the essence on half-time wagers..

Buy wife and or girlfriend a new car and sit back and relax....
