They could have played perfect defense and it probably wouldn't have mattered. Mulder is just awful today. Come to think of it, he's never been 1/2 as good as people make him out to be.

One last thing I'll add about this game and the brilliance of managers...

It was painfully obvious Mulder had nothing tonight. Yet he didn't get lifted until it was 6-0. I know managers don't like to burn their BP early in the game but when a guy clearly has nothing you should realize that not only are you going to HAVE to use your BP early, but you're going to give your team no chance by leaving him in. Add in the fact that De Los Santos is one of the biggest gascans in MLB, and it's just idiotic that Larussa would leave him in to give up 6. Maybe the Cards come back, but I have to think they're demoralized after falling down so big, so early.
