how is it going wise! Long time no talk. I have been out of town for the last month and recollectin thoughts

I like milwaukee for the sweep. They have good value with a pitcher for cincy who is not appealing at all. Milwaukees pitcher gets a national tv audience and should be up for the challenge.

good luck

Just my 2 cents. Think people will be on Cinn to avoid the sweep while the Brew Crew go 3-0 in Cinn.

Cinn pitcher is 2-5 which I don't feel to good laying -160 or so on.

This may come down to the last few innings.

Cincy has burned me the last few days...and the Brewers have been my nemesis for a month!!! I won't be on them, but I do think that they avoid the sweep today. Like TJ, I don't feel too good about laying that kind of juice on a 2-5 pitcher...also agree that it may come down to the relief pitching. I know Cincy will be on day 2 of Cisco's chase...which has been solid all season.

Does anyone know anything about this Brewers pitcher? I don't remember watching him in Nashville.... Is he from a trade or did I just happen to never be there when he was pitching for the Sounds?

On The Other Side
The Reds were 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position last night, and are 0 for 18 in those situations over the last three games. Eleven of the last 12 Reds runs scored have come via home runs.

In its last 15 1/3 innings, the Reds' bullpen has allowed 13 earned runs (7.63 ERA), plus three inherited runners to score.

The last Reds' victory was credited to Arroyo on Friday vs. the Cubs. He seemed to be the right stopper for the job Tuesday. He entered 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA this season vs. Milwaukee and was 4-0 at home.

If Arroyo, the Reds' ace, can't stop the losing streak, can we honestly expect Ramirez to get the job done? Something to think about.

Player News

RHP Carlos Villanueva, summoned from Double-A Huntsville on Saturday, is a candidate to start Wednesday at Cincinnati.
(Updated 06/12/2006).

Injury Report
No information available at this time (Updated 6/14/06).

Fantasy Analysis
That rotation spot formerly was held by LHP Jorge De La Rosa, who went on the 15-day disabled list with an ongoing problem with a split nail and blister on the middle finger of his throwing hand. Villanueva is not much more than a middle reliever in a possible spot start situation. Great American Ballpark is not a great place to pitch, so don't consider picking him up just yet.
(Updated 06/12/2006).

edit: Villanueva, 22, was 4-5 with a 3.75 ERA at Huntsville.

The Milwaukee Brewers seek their first road sweep of the Cincinnati Reds in nearly three years when the teams conclude their series Wednesday at Great American Ball Park.

Milwaukee is 2-11 since early May in the rotation spots once occupied by Sheets and Ohka.

The 22-year-old Villanueva made his big league debut May 23 at Cincinnati and pitched a scoreless inning of relief in a 7-3 loss before he was sent down to Double-A Huntsville.

Villanueva went 4-5 with a 3.75 ERA with the Stars. He struck out 59 and walked just 14 in 62 1-3 innings.

Ramirez'(2-5, 4.02) is slated to start against Milwaukee on Wednesday for the second time this season.

Ramirez's lone home win came against the Brewers on May 23, when he gave up three runs and five hits in five innings of a 7-3 victory.

Since that outing, the 23-year-old right-hander is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA. Both losses came against the Chicago Cubs, including his last time out when he gave up three runs in six innings of a 6-5 defeat Friday.

I'm backing Milwaukee. I have taken the Brewers as big Underdogs the first 2 games of the series. Cincy is slumping right now and it's difficult to back a slumping team laying a big number with a weak starter.

Just my $.02~!
