Funny thing memories, especially ones you didn't know you had.

Have you ever had anything, a photograph, a place , a song, anything take you back and slap you in the face?

Man, this just happened to me the other day. I heard a song I hadn't heard in years and it IMMEDIATLY took me back to a very specific time and place that I could describe with remarkable accuracy, weird.

Along those lines, can you point to one specific moment in time that changed your life? I know for sure I can. I don't mean when you got married or had kids or someting like that, I mean an even that changed the very course your life took. I still look back and wonder what if?

I guess I should stop doing that.

I have already drank way too much today I guess.

A couple songs have done that for me. I completely know what you're saying. One flashed me back about eight years and it was just stunning how powerful it was.

And yes on the specific moment. It was last summer in late June. That's as far as I'm going to get into it, but again, know exactly what you're saying.

Yep, lots of songs do that for me.

I remember where I exactly was and at what place in time I was when I first heard a gin blossoms song (I won't get into explicits).

Also, remember a lot about going to summer school in boulder and seeing Dave Matthews Band (just put out under the table and dreaming) when they weren't popular yet at
one of the college bars. That summer I got very good grades, had a cool college, job and was stoned out of my mind - gotta love CU even though I graduated from UNL.

Remember when I graduated from college that song "closing time" was very popular.

Songs have always been poweful for me. I am not very old, but I still have flashbacks to where I was and what I was doing when I hear a song thats even just 4-5 years old. It usually depresses me knowing that life is flying by .
