I have Comcast right now but thinking of getting Direct TV for football season. Also, they've got a special right now. I've had them both and like Direct TV better for football season but Comcast better in the off season. Another added factor is Comcast just upped my bill by $50 because I guess I was on some special from before.

Pisses me off Comcast is the onlyhigh speed internet provider around here worth a crap, I've used Verizon DSL but really didn't like them. Sort of would like to cancel Comcast altogether.

Okay, thats my rant for the day.

I have Comcast too.............try this. They have a retention department for unsatisfied or for customers thinking about leaving Comcast. Call them and say your going to leave and go to the dish but might consider staying if you can give me some rate relief. I did it and it worked for awhile, then I had to do it again.........worth a shot

Really, you guys have a link or phone number. I don't mind staying with them because they have 3-4 of the games on NFL Sundays and the MNF game but $140 is way, way to much for cable and high speed net.

Just call your local Comcast office or maybe even the 800 number, they both should be able to get you to that department..........Play up that loyal customer angle and how the price difference is to big to stay with Comcast.........but if you can lower the price I will stay, shit like that.

I would dump Comcast but I cant.. they have Comcast Sportsnet which has the phillies, sixers, and flyers game... so I am screwed.

Altho a few weeks back I called and told them I was going dish..... it took 4 different phonecalls, but on the 4th they gave me $10 off my bill every month for a yr, and added showtime and starz for free for the yr (already had HBO).

Also worked for my friend for the internet.

kneifl,

What didn't u like about Verizon's DSL?

It just seemed a little bit slower than comcasts cable connection + the fact that I had to have a land line when I got it. I would rather use cell phones than having to pay extra for having a land line...

What a joke, those fvkkers at Comcast only wanted to knock $10 off my bill. I told them to cancel immediately and to go straight to hell.
