What is with this bank. I bank there. It has been going downhill fast!! I called today to talk to there customer service about some $$ that I have been waiting to receive in my acct for a few referrals on a promotion. The people they hire are stupid. Maybe they are just too big, they wouldn't even let me talk to a supervisor :nono: . Had to inquire with corporate who called me at the end of the day and gave me the answer I was looking for. Sheese, I feel bad referring my friends who've moved out here to them in the first place. Told my wife I wanted to switch to citibank or commerce bank today and she said no. Oh well, so much for customer service these days  .

Thats another rant of mine for the day, glad I'm on vacation next week.

Bank of America is going down hill...Someone once told me, "If you have to defend your customer service, you don't have any..."

Well, she had a reason (might effect credit, I have excellent credit and so does she) and while I argued with her about it a little bit I was not about to get into a fight over it. Who knows, I might try to ease her into it I don't think it will have one iota of an impact on my credit score or hers and my curiousity got the better of me and I found out today we have banks in our town open on both sat & sundays.

Going downhill??? I thought this bank has been at the bottom of the pit for some time. :banghead: I would rather take a third-party out of state check from someone than have to deal with a Bank of America check. :nono:

My boss use to bank there, wrote me a check once for a reimbursement went to BOA to cash it, they wanted 5 bucks to cash the check that was written on there bank, because "you do't have an account here" nope and never will. Bank at a small "home town" bank now, customer service and people both excellent

Peace,

Good timing on this thread. I am very close to closing all accounts with them. They are very innovative when it comes to online banking, but I think they are pushing it too far.

Yep,

I'm still debating on closing all accounts with them. This thread reinforces some of the horror stories I've heard about them, didn't realize others had a lot of problems with their bs as well. They've pissed me off more than a few times since I've been with them (5 years).

What are they doing to you other than not giving you your referral bonus?

I've had issues with them in the past as well. Fees for checking have been tacked on without being known so I had to "upgrade" my account and they removed the fees as a "courtesy". They say that was sent out with a statement when it ocurred. Too bad it was in such small print it made my eyes squint.

Once my wife got residency here they would not give her a credit card (joint checking acct) without a $59 fee, her credit scores at the time were higher than mine but they would not give her one because of no credit history (but I had a spotless record with their bank over a lengthy period of time). I can only sort of understand this despite whatever anyone has to say.

I've always had problems with their customer service, an ongoing process, and it's a process in itself...trust me.
