RAWW, I was thinking about playing Wright until I saw the line (+850). He is the third biggest longshot, just ahead of Glaus and Dye. The line is telling me he doesn't have a shot. Wright will be participating in his first Homerun Derby, so perhaps that has something to do with the line.

LHIO, no Glaus for me. He is the second biggest longshot in this competition (+1050). Glaus hits the majority of his homeruns to left field. I like a guy who has power to all fields. I would play Wright before I played Glaus.

i'm a big phils fan and think howard has a slim chance for this. he doesn't really crush the ball in batting practice and the majority of his hr's are opposite field. i just don't think he's really suited for a home run derby but i could be wrong. good luck!

Guru, I think you're right, I have changed my mind about Howard. I'm going to play Berkman instead. Thanks for your input, it solidified what I was already thinking. Good luck to you!

I saw Dave Wright's batting practices in Philly. He hits nearly half his pitches over all 3 walls. The others are purely line drive double type hits. He really puts on a show. I also saw in in Florida this spring, he is amazing to watch.
I don't know if he will be nervous in this event though because it is not his style and it is his first event.
Fox sports put up stats compared with A Rod's for thier first 200 games and Wrights are actually better. Check it out guys.

I have D.Wright and Howard each...I had Glaus too, but hes done...i risked a total of 2 units, if Glaus won i won 5 units, if either howard or D.Wright wins I double my total risk...GOSH it would be nice to see them both in the final an guarentee and profit
