Bridge Jumpers...

I dont know if anyone has heard of this term, but it occurs in horse racing when someone throws a big amount on a short priced horse (1-5,2-5, ect) to show. It occured today when a horse in the 10th race @ Calder, Dubai Escapade had about 235k of the 250k in the show pool bet on her.

Needless to say, he finished in 6th after going off as the HUGE favorite. Here were they crazy payouts that developed due to a bridge jumper.

Just thought some of you guys would find this interesting. I personally hate the track, I used to win $ there, now I work at Arlington Park and lose most of my paycheck back there each week. I need to go cold turkey for a while, its getting disgusting.

It happened just last night at the Meadowlands when a 1-9 shot broke stride in the first race. The horse that ran 3rd was only 8-1 and paid $188.20 to show :scared

nice call age, I didnt have any time to bet, but I really probably wouldnt have either. First good tip ive gotten in a while. Ive seen some nice writeups on this horse racing forum I visit but if I bet any of them I like from that I lose, and forget picking for myself, I havent been able to hit anything in the past 2 months.

I guess more than the usual number of horses were getting hurt.

Intense, im not really sure about whats going on with the track...Its not good though. I goto the OTB once in a while, just to make bets though, do you go there alot?

I go once in a while. I have a few friends spend a lot of time there. Jackie always takes good care of me and whoever I'm with at the bar.

Heard off the radio that former Gov Edgar has lost more than one horse due to injury at Arlington.

I'm sure I'll get up there on a Friday before summer ends and check out the middle aged tail strolling for a sugar daddy :mj07:
