just watched the Louisville news on this. 17 year old kid named Blanton. They found the rifle on a search of his grandparents house. He was with them over the weekend "on a deer hunting trip". Guess they can add on some illegal hunting charges then if that's the case. Makes no sense to "hunt" deer in July. His family say he didn't do it even though the kid confessed.

They were hunting deer on a private farmers land. The area he grew up in is pretty rural. They say he liked to weld metal and wanted to do that for a living.

They are charging him as an adult, guy was a big kid, weighed over 300 pounds

more on this. Rifles are illegal for deer hunting in Indiana; so is hunting deer in July. However, he was using Depredation permits, and rifles are legal for that.

Word was that he got shunked on the depradation hunt and the others got on him about, so he preceded to do what he did for some reason. GUess he figured he would shoot a car since he couldn't shoot a deer??
